ytd we went down to outrum to get viknesh and biondi redistered for the F1 "waitor" we were a bit late becoz ys was late.. they got redistered so we went to funan and before that, joel was waiting at exit H of outrum mrt station.. he knows outrum inside out.. went to pastamanina and had garlic bread.. becoz i had already ate be4 gg down to outrum..
then we went shopping at jaben.. bio got his FIIO amps and unforunately they dun have the newly released mylarone crossroads Bijou.. he said it would arrive between 7-10 so im gg to pay him a visit on the 10th.. getting the amps with it also..
walked down to suntec city by the marina bridge.. by that time it was already near 2 and we need to reach bj (ben's jia) by 5 so we decided to do less product evaluation and more of product purchase. bio got his 4gb ram and joel his razor earplugs.. and i got a zen xi-fi.. and my parents got a D60 from nikon..
we went to bj and saw vince on the way there.. at bj it was a lot of things to play but the best was cooking.. every1 was so engrossed in cooking.. everything from hot dog to bacon.. every1 had their fill.. noise and chatter was surrounding bj and as were were doin the satay, junjie was the human "fan".. he used a paper plate to fan the fire and in abt 10mins time, the fire burn throught everything.. everything including the aluminun net and the satay sticks..
went up and majong a while and i dun really know how to play it at all.. keep letting joel and biondi see right through me.. played till like 1130 then we cab to lavander for $5.. then there was no train down to boon lay and WTH la. sat to tampines and took a cab back to yishun and wts its $20 for a ride.. reached home by 1 and dota with bio and joel till 3+ until we got so owned that we dun know weather to slp or rm.. but we slp after that anways..
playing on the swing and eating at the same time.. we ate pork chop and sat on the swing while the others played basket ball at nite.. bx drank a lot of water but we did not manage to make him spil any water at all..
joel is a drunkard thats final..
design for the zen xi-fi is abt the same as the usual zen and it resembles my phone.. using black and sliver lining as its case enhances the screen's brightness at outdoors.. i feel that the zen has some buttons that are quite hard to press in the name of design.. out of the 9 buttons for navigation.. i onli feel that 5 buttons were usefull and the other 4 at the coner were short cuts and u dun usually use it..
sound quality..
the xi-fi is nthn much special becoz im using their stock earplugs which was actually selling for $60. the xi-fi crystaliser is basically their "normal" mode and when u turn it off it starts to distort so there is nthn speical abt that.. pumped trance one whole night and it was not much of an impact..
the mid freq region is very clear and it blends in well with the bass.. althought i dun really like the surround which makes the sound so call "wide" but its still ok.. the main thing of the machine is abt bass.. im listening to 4minutes by madonna and the bass is loud and deep it actually covers the trumpet sound quite a lot.. fortunately the treble is clear and as loud as the bass and the words are clear. overall u can tell the bass from treble and they dun really attunuate much.
1 part of this player which is not so good is in its japanese songs.. japanese have a lot high pitched pronunciations and it quite pain in the ear espcially with the "suki , sama" those starting with S.. those are quite high freq and they dun seem so nice to hear. but rather out of tune.. i got owned by stephine's friends as there were a lot of high pitch melody..
good for rock for its bass but as for those higher freq songs i dun think it migh suit the bell.. wait till i get a pair of mylarones and lets see how good this baby is actually is.. comparable in size
